Key FDL investigators work with DGGS, who has partnered with UAF, providing field support and logistics, and graduate student support.
The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities helped to fund the preliminary geotechnical investigation in 2012. We work closely with ADOT&PF engineers to discuss the Department's needs regarding the Dalton Highway.
AUTC supported the preliminary geotechnical investigation in 2012, and continues to support research efforts through administrative assistance.
USDOT OST-R has funded field work and on-going analysis of FDLs. A recent $500,000 award supports the monitoring and analysis of FDLs through remote sensing techniques.
Alyeska provides logistic and access support to our research sites in the field.
Researcher Daanen received mini-grants from each of these groups to conduct the first field investigation of FDL-A.
